..... Paylor's Boat Covers is a family business that began in 1970 by Arthur Paylor on beautiful Pomme de Terre Lake at Carson's Corner. At that time the Paylor family made covers, worked on boat motors, and was a service station.

.... Today you will find Paylor's Boat Covers carrying on with the tradition that began in 1970 with Devlin Paylor, grandson to Arthur Paylor still making custom covers on Pomme de Terre Lake. Devlin began working with his Grandfather Art and his Uncle Nelson in the summers since he was 13 years old. In 1983 he moved to the Hermitage area with his wife Jennifer. At this time Arthur Paylor began teaching Devlin how to make custom boat covers.

Although Devlin is no longer located on Carson's Corner you will find him a few miles down highway 254 towards Hermitage where he makes covers for people from the Pomme de Terre area and for people from all over the United States of America. His reputation for making a good quality cover is exceptional, and his customer service is unmatched.

.... Devlin's boat covers are exceptional that they fit like a glove to the

point where you can bounce a quarter off of them. They are made so you can tow your boat down the road with this cover on. They will not parachute or drag against the wind. His covers are made of 10oz Aqualon material which is water proof, mildew and mod resistant.

.... The Paylor business was expanded in 2007 with the addition of their Lake and Boating store. Here you can find boating accessories such as boat seats, box boat covers, bimini tops, anchors, buoys, etc. You will also find a large assortment of jackets, water toys, sunglasses, and other lake souvenirs

including T Shirts and a Custom T Shirt shop. It is a fun lake store to visit.
